Premium features

From the plugin README (Payments Square Connect). Upgrade under Payments Square Connect → Pricing. This page describes how features work.

Premium unlocks:

  • Location-linked stock sync (Woo ↔ Square)
  • Square gift cards at checkout
  • Loyalty redeem at checkout
  • Bi-directional inventory and multi-location options on higher plans

Plans (Free / Plus / Pro)

Gift cards at checkout (Plus)

  1. Customer enters a Square gift card number on WooCommerce checkout.
  2. The plugin reads the balance and applies it to the order.
  3. Partial cover: remaining amount is paid on Square Hosted Checkout.
  4. Full cover: the order can complete with the gift card only — no card redirect.
  5. After payment succeeds, Square redeems the gift card funds for that amount.

Works with classic and Blocks checkout when Premium is active.

Loyalty (earn free · redeem Plus)

  1. Earn (free): paid orders can earn Square Loyalty points; balance under My Account → Square Loyalty.
  2. Redeem (Plus): apply rewards at checkout toward the total.
  3. Any remaining balance goes through Hosted Checkout like a normal order.

Location stock sync

Woo → Square (Plus)

Pick a Square location. When WooCommerce stock changes for a SKU-matched product, inventory is pushed to that location.

Square → Woo (Pro)

Subscribe to inventory.count.updated. When Square stock changes (POS, transfer, manual edit), matching Woo products update for your selected location.

How to upgrade

  1. Open Payments Square Connect → Pricing.
  2. Choose Plus or Pro (annual).
  3. After purchase, Premium features unlock on the same site — reconnect Square if asked for gift cards / inventory permissions.
